As a Day Support Worker, you will work as part of a team supporting residents in the home. Your responsibilities include providing practical support and encouraging independence in line with residents' wishes and management requirements. You must live in the UK to apply.
Responsibilities for a Day Support Worker
1. Provide support and encouragement in household, personal, and group management tasks, including reinforcing learned skills.
2. Become a Key Worker for a resident, planning and organising their care.
3. Liaise with professionals and significant others involved in residents' care.
4. Assist in developing, preparing, monitoring, maintaining, and reviewing care and personal plans, updating them on the care app.
5. Attend interviews and meetings as required.
6. Work flexibly as required by the Registered Manager.
7. Participate in supervision sessions with the Registered Manager.
8. Attend all training courses provided by the company.
9. Support residents' house meetings and staff meetings.
10. Adhere to the home's philosophy, policies, and procedures.
11. Administer or assist in medication administration and maintain medication records.
Person Specification
* Reliable and trustworthy
* Enthusiastic and motivated to provide positive outcomes and quality care
* Good communication skills
* NVQ Level 2 or above preferred; training and development provided
* Ability to work as part of a team
* Experience with mental health conditions and/or dementia is desirable
Working Hours and Benefits
34.5 hours per week (3x 12-hour shifts, including alternate weekends). Pay rate: £12.50 per hour.
