The Uro-Gynaecology Nurse is a key member of the multidisciplinary team, providing specialist nursing care to patients with uro-gynaecological conditions such as urinary incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, and voiding dysfunction. The post holder will deliver high-quality, evidence-based care through nurse-led clinics, patient education, and clinical support for investigations and procedures.
The role involves the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of individualised care plans, ensuring that patients receive holistic and person-centred treatment. The post holder will have responsibility for managing their own caseload, performing procedures such as pessary fittings and changes, teaching Clean Intermittent Self-Catheterisation (CISC), and supporting urodynamic testing.
