Legal Secretary (12-Month FTC)

Salary: £47,000 - £52,000

Contract Type: 12-Month Fixed Term

Working Pattern: Hybrid – 4 days in the office (Monday to Thursday), Friday from home


Our client, a prestigious law firm, is seeking a highly motivated and proactive Legal Secretary to join their private funds department on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is a fantastic opportunity to support a dynamic team of fee-earners in a collaborative and professional environment.


About the Role:

You’ll provide dedicated secretarial and administrative support to a group of 14 professionals, including partners, counsel, associates, paralegals, and trainees. This position requires someone with excellent attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality support.


Key Responsibilities:

* Diary and email management for partners and fee-earners.
* Organising meetings and travel arrangements.
* Copy-typing and digital dictation.
* Drafting emails and correspondence for approval.
* Processing expenses.
* Assisting with billing and finance tasks.
* Updating client contact details.
* Handling client enquiries and routine calls.
* Amending and formatting legal documents and agreements.


What We’re Looking For:

* Previous experience as a Legal Secretary or PA in a City law firm.
* Strong proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
* Excellent document production skills and attention to detail.
* Confident communicator at all levels, both written and verbal.
* Self-motivated, organised, and able to work independently.
* Friendly, professional, and resilient under pressure.
* Strong client service orientation and team spirit.
