FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a Business Architect to work for our client within the insurance sector. This is initially a 12-month contract with the potential to extend and will be a hybrid role that will be based in Edinburgh.
Our client is seeking a Business Architect with at least 6 years’ experience to join their team. The role holder will proactively and holistically help and guide the enterprise executives through transformation and optimisation initiatives, supporting the formulation of business strategy, outcomes and capabilities.
The business architect’s scope of activities includes helping the organisation achieve targeted business outcomes related to growing revenue, optimising costs and mitigating risks. They focus on development of the business strategy and business architecture of the organisation as a whole, ensuring adherence to the strategic design principles and governance framework.
Responsibilities
1. Strategically guide the design and realisation of business and operating models
2. Identify and guide people, processes and technology requirements to operationalise the operating models
3. Support organisational change and investments in response to the market/external factors and toward achieving targeted business outcomes
4. Create business architecture deliverables that clarify strategic intentions, identify business outcomes, explore implications, impacts and risks
5. Help strategy and business leaders understand, apply, monetise and operationalise existing, new, and emerging technologies to transform and optimise business and operating models, drive business growth and organisational transformation
6. Support the evolution of Enterprise services and help define the strategy for the EA discipline
7. Align Business Value Streams, Operations, Change and IT
