Welcome to Oke Tree Network, a growing, people-powered enabling service based in the heart of Devon. We're on a mission to support adults with additional needs to live independently, confidently, and joyfully — and we're looking for new team members who are up for the ride.
If you're kind, down-to-earth, and love the idea of getting out into the community, making connections, and helping people rediscover life, this could be the perfect role for you.
What You'll Be Doing
As a Community Enabler, no two days are the same. You'll work 1:1 with individuals aged 18+ who may have a diverse range of support needs, supporting them to:
Access the community (trips out, appointments, shopping, gym, beach walks, train rides)
Build independence (life skills, budgeting, cooking, planning, confidence building)
Make friends, socialise, and connect with others
Get involved in our Roots Project — a creative, fun-packed weekly group session run by and for the people we support
You'll be part of the team that makes the everyday feel like an adventure again.
What We're Looking For
* A genuine passion for supporting others
* Ideally some experience working with elderly individuals or those with additional needs
* Great communication and people skills (you're calm, kind, and confident)
* Someone who enjoys being out and about — this isn't a desk job
* Self-employed (or willing to register — we can help)
* A car and clean licence are a big plus
What You'll Get
* A flexible schedule that works around your life
* Weekly activities, day trips, and community events — no two days are the same
* Full support from our team (you'll never feel alone in the role)
* Be part of something creative, fun, and genuinely meaningful
* Work that's life-changing — for you and the people you support
* A welcoming, down-to-earth, values-led organisation with heart
