What You Will Enjoy Doing
* Reporting to the Customer Engineering Services Support Manager to deliver a professional high quality Remote Support (Service Desk) facility at all times to external and internal customers. This is a critical role to ensure issues arising at Customer sites are dealt with in an effective and efficient manner.
* This role will work to be the first line support to Customers, with the primary goal of reducing Service Technician callouts. The job holder will also have responsibility for resolving and analysing Customer issues to drive resolution of these issues at the root cause.
* A technical element of this role will involve the understanding of various compliance and asset integrity concepts for example WSE (Written Schemes of Examination), RoTE (Report of Thorough Examination), P&ID (Process & Instrument Drawings), Technical Dossiers, SAP functional location structures and maintenance plans.
* The role will also require commercial understanding to respond to customers appropriately and identify the correct account number based on assets holdings within SAP.
* To identify opportunities to improve processes through digitalisation and/or simplification to reduce costs within Asset integrity or the wider business. Support in delivering these improvements and deliver against KPI's.
* BOC's Customer Engineer Services (CES) department install rental equipment on customer sites to allow the use of BOC gases and also carry out, inspection, maintenance and installation of customer owned equipment. These include bulk liquid, mini bulk and compressed storage systems, associated equipment and pipework.
What Makes You Great
* Tenacity and ability to work in a fast moving, pressurised environment.
* 4+ years experience in a commercial/technical environment having developed an ability to communicate well at all levels in different situations: (this includes verbal and written communication)
* Keyboard and PC skills, including Microsoft office package.
* SAP Production/Maintenance system experience 2+years.
* Digital Platforms (SFDC, Nintex)
* GCSE level education
* Significant level of experience of high performing organisation processes
* Work with integrity, role modelling the behaviours aligned to being an inclusive workplace
