Band 4 Dental Nurse
Join us at Lyng Health Centre in Sandwell. 22.5 hours per week, 0.6 WTE, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday. Flexible across Community Dental Services, Mobile Clinics, Birmingham Dental Hospital.
We are looking for enthusiastic, hard‑working dental nurses to deliver high‑quality care. Must be patient‑focussed, maintain high standards and confidentiality.
Responsibilities
* Provide chair side assistance to clinicians.
* Carry out clerical and administrative duties to ensure efficient operation.
* Maintain high standard of patient care and confidentiality.
* Prepare and monitor patients for treatment, providing pre and post‑operative instructions.
* Perform general care of the surgery, maintain equipment and arrange repairs.
* Ensure medical emergency drugs and equipment are available and up to date.
* Provide chair side assistance and postoperative instructions during general anaesthetic and exodontia sessions.
* Provide oral health education to patients as required by the clinician.
* Assist Senior Dental Nurse and Specialty Nurses in the smooth running of the Dental Service.
* Support and assist clinicians including all student disciplines.
* Support and supervise apprentice nurses and undergraduate groups.
Qualifications
Band 4 qualified Dental Nurse. Experience in community dental services preferred.
