We are actively recruiting for a specialist SEN setting in Gateshead and are looking for OUTSTANDING people who are recent or upcoming graduates who intend to study PGCE qualifications and would like to gain SEN school experience in the interim. This Graduate teaching assistant Role SEN will give you paid experience to help you kick start further study ! The setting caters for Learners aged from 9-18 who have ASD and SEMH. Whilst no experience is necessary YOU MUST be empathetic, a fast learner and have a real passion for helping young people with learning difficulties. The setting is OFsted Graded good and is a fantastic supportive and friendly place to work. For this Graduate teaching assistant Role SEN, We are looking for graduates in any subject who have a career goal that involves teaching. Working as part of a team of teaching assistants you will gain experience helping secondary aged pupils both one to one and across larger class groups. The ideal candidate for this Graduate teaching assistant Role SEN will work as part of a friendly and supportive team within the classroom helping boost academic outcomes and motivate students. You will work alongside the wider team, identifying areas where students need to improve and will then assist in delivering sessions. These sessions may involve input with lesson planning at a later date. The job requires commitment Monday – Friday and the working hours are 8:30am-4:30pm (TBC) We have positions starting in June, July and September 2025 The position is a really interesting and varied role and we are looking for people with patience, kindness, tenacity and the ability to build rapport and create positive relationships with learners.
