Full job description SEND Tutor/Mentor – Self-Employed We’re growing our network of specialist SEND tutors and mentors to support adults and young people with autism, learning differences, mental health challenges, and complex profiles. Our approach is neurodiversity-affirming, trauma-informed, and centred on building trust with families and schools. We’re looking for tutors and mentors in Bristol and South Gloucestershire to join our pool of self-employed practitioners. Work is offered on a case-by-case basis – sometimes a single package, sometimes ongoing – with opportunities to develop a steady stream of referrals as our service expands. The Role Deliver 1:1 lessons and/or mentoring sessions (most placements are in-person) Support wellbeing, learning, and personal growth of adults and young people Work collaboratively with families, schools, and organisations to build consistent strategies You Bring Experience supporting adults and/or young people with neurodiversity or learning differences A compassionate, client-centred approach Confidence and skill in supporting clients with complex needs and challenging behaviours, seeing these as opportunities for meaningful impact Enhanced DBS (ideally on the update service), two professional references, and safeguarding knowledge Flexibility to take on cases as they arise in your local area We Offer Case-matched referrals in your area Support and resources for practitioners as needed Competitive rates and reliable payment terms Ongoing opportunities as the service grows How to Apply If you’d like to be considered, please send: Your CV and covering letter outlining your experience of supporting clients with complex needs The locations you are able to work in Your availability for new cases Pay: £20.00-£35.00 per hour Expected hours: 1 – 20 per week Work Location: Bristol/South Gloucesterhsire
