JOB TITLE: In-house title is Senior Business Analyst
DEPARTMENT: Kodiak Project, BBC Group Strategy & Transformation
LOCATION: This role can be based in Salford, London, Bristol or Birmingham - Hybrid working
PROPOSED SALARY RANGE: £55,000 - £60,000pa (plus London Weighting £5,319pa if London based), depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights.

The BBC has embarked on an ambitious programme of transformation reviewing the operating model for the engagement of freelancers to ensure we build a model that's fit for the future.
We are looking for a Business Analyst to join us on a 9-month FTC to play a key role in supporting the delivery of an enterprise-wide transformation programme.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND IMPACT:
As Business Analyst you will
Lead the collection and documentation of user, business, and technical requirements to support robust solution delivery and traceability.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess feasibility, shape solution design, and clarify the purpose and value of proposed changes.
Provide strategic advice and research-driven insights to inform technical options and business decisions.
Analyse and document current business processes to identify and recommend areas for improvement.
Assess business risks and impacts, supporting mitigation planning and smooth operational transitions.
Foster strong stakeholder relationships to share domain knowledge and ensure alignment across teams.
Support project and product teams by delivering analysis updates, resolving blockers, and tracking business benefits and performance metrics.
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
Proven experience working within complex Finance and HR systems in large-scale, multi-contract organisations with diverse management structures.
Strong command of business and data analysis techniques, including requirements engineering, process mapping, and business process re-engineering.
Demonstrated ability to lead Business Analysis activities across technical environments and full project lifecycles.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to different audiences.
Skilled in building and managing professional relationships through active listening and effective two-way communication.
DESIRED BUT NOT REQUIRED:
SAP ERP (ECC and HCM) experience (Desirable)
Domain knowledge of extended (contingent) workforce, within an SAP ERP organisation.
