Lancashire County Council is seeking three dedicated and skilled Social Workers to join our vibrant Duty and Assessment Teams in East, North, and Central Lancashire. About The Role
This is a specialist role within the Duty and Assessment Team, responsible for completing statutory assessments of need for children with disabilities, parent/carer assessments, and reviewing care packages and direct payment reviews.
As a Social Worker in our Duty and Assessment Teams, you will:
* Undertake statutory needs assessments for children with disabilities.
* Complete parent/carer assessments.
* Review and monitor direct payment packages and care packages.
* Manage a varied caseload, ensuring the best outcomes for children and young people.
* Work collaboratively with families, carers, and partner agencies to provide the right support at the right time.
* Participate in the team’s duty rota and contribute to the development of social work students.
You will play a key role in safeguarding children, promoting their welfare, and ensuring their voices are heard throughout the assessment and planning process.
What We’re Looking For
* Qualified Social Worker (CQSW, DipSW, Degree in Social Work, or equivalent).
* Registered with Social Work England.
* At least 1 year of Children with Disabilities (CWD) experience and demonstrable expertise in completing CWD and parent/carer assessments.
* Strong assessment, communication, and partnership working skills.

* Ability to travel across Lancashire (essential car user post).
