This is an ideal role for someone with previous Medical Secretary or PA experience, and strong organisational and administrative skills.

This vacancy is for 25 hours per week, working 12:30pm-5:30pm, Monday-Friday.
Main duties of the job
Your key responsibilities will include reading patientrelated correspondence, identifying relevant clinical information and updatingpatient notes.
You will also be providing general secretarial support toour practice and business managers, GPs and health professionals.
You will be handling sensitive medical information, so a caring customer service communication style is essential.
Likewise you will be expected to treat all patients (&colleagues) with dignity and respect at all times and last, but by no meansleast, maintain the utmost levels of professionalism and confidentiality at alltimes.

* Handling referrals on a day to day basis
* Management of the referral link between primary andsecondary care
* Dealing with email and telephone queries from patients &colleagues
* Assisting the Back Office team with any other dutiesrequired

Person Specification
Experience
* Previous experience within either a clinical/healthcare admin, or a PA role
* Exceptional organisational and prioritising skills, combined with top level attention to detail
* Strong literacy and computer skills
* Experience working with variable stakeholders
* Experience working within a team
* Experience with electronic dictation
* Knowledge of medical terminology
* Experience with clinical IT systems
Qualifications
* Grade C or above in GCSE Maths & English (or equivalent)
