Position Details
Quantity Surveyor – KierBAM Joint Venture, Plymouth (Devonport Royal Dockyard). Remote working available with occasional travel to the office. 45 hours per week. Due to the sensitive nature of the site, BPSS security clearance is required. Candidates must hold a passport from a NATO or MISWG member country and have resided in the UK for the past five years. We are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship to any candidates in this role.
Responsibilities
* Provide commercial insight, including financial and contractual performance forecasts, to help the team exceed business targets and KPIs.
* Prepare and review monthly cost reports, working collaboratively with colleagues to identify trends and opportunities.
* Manage subcontractor relationships from enquiry through to payment, ensuring value and quality throughout.
* Implement change control procedures and maintain clear communication with clients.
* Assess and mitigate commercial risks while maximising cash flow across the project.
Qualifications
* Professionally qualified or hold a degree in Quantity Surveying or a related commercial discipline.
* Strong experience with NEC contracts and confidence in client‑facing situations.
* Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel; ideally experienced with CEMAR or Coins/Causeway systems.
* Enjoy working collaboratively within a diverse, skilled team and possess excellent communication skills.
* Holder of a CSCS White PQP/AQP card and a full driving licence.
