We are looking for an Assistant Project Manager to deliver, lead and support our Continuous River Water Quality Monitoring programme in the EICA River TCS team. Everything you need to know follows.
Responsibilities
* Deliver, lead and support the Continuous River Water Quality Monitoring programme in the EICA River TCS team.
* Support the senior project manager to drive the programme from design through to completion, engage with key stakeholders (internally and externally) and ensure projects are closed out and benefits realised in a timely manner.
* Undertake site visits with contractors for recce and site survey through to the delivery of identified assets on both STW and 3rd party land; be mobile and travel across the Severn Trent region.
* Support reporting to the board on progress and assist the wider project team to ensure delivery.
* Manage the six aspects of a project: scope, schedule, finance, risk, quality and resources; drive project plans and safeguard milestone delivery, with reporting through to the Business Lead.
* Work and walk near water due to locations being near water on Severn Trent and 3rd party land; Water Rescue 3 training will be provided for safety.
What you’ll bring to the role
* Confident communication, team membership, leadership and stakeholder management skills; proactive and flexible approach to working, with excellent planning and organising skills.
* Strong conflict management; ideally NEC4 and/or APM or equivalent project management qualification; willingness to work towards it with support.
* Experience managing multiple projects or programmes simultaneously; curious, courageous, caring and proud of the team’s work.
* Based in or able to travel across the Severn Trent region; mobile and able to visit sites during the working week.
* Character, positivity and a caring attitude; commitment to diversity and community impact.
