Overview
We have a fantastic opportunity for an aspiring apprentice to join our team. We are looking for enthusiastic individuals who are ambitious and want to gain an Early Years qualification while getting experience. You'll create meaningful relationships with the children, your team and with parents.
Location: Hancock Hall, Sandbach CW11 3RT. Working week: Monday to Friday. Hours per week: 18-24 hours. Training includes a blended approach (virtual classrooms, webinars, work-based tasks and online assignments) with at least 20% of working hours spent training or studying. An apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organisation.
What you'll do at work
* Provide high-quality care and early years education to children aged 0-5.
* Support children's development through age-appropriate activities and play-based learning.
* Observe, assess, and document children's progress in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
* Work closely with the team to plan and implement a curriculum that meets the needs of individual children.
* Establish and maintain positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
* Ensure that children are safe, and their well-being is always a priority.
* Promote and encourage positive behaviour, social skills, and emotional development.
* Assist in maintaining a clean and safe environment, adhering to health and safety guidelines.
* Support daily routines, including mealtimes, nappy changes, and nap times.
* Participate in regular team meetings, training, and professional development opportunities.
Training and apprenticeship details
* Early Years Educator Level 3 (A level) Apprenticeship Standard.
* Training will include paediatric first aid qualification.
* OTJH (off-the-job hours): at least 20% of working hours; e.g., 30+ hours per week = 6 hours per week OTJH. Less than 30 hours is 20% OTJH.
* Candidates are not required to attend college; off-the-job training hours are used throughout the apprenticeship and will be within working hours of employment.
* You will receive one-to-one support and tuition from your apprenticeship tutor, who will make in-person visits to the nursery or schedule online meetings every 56 weeks.
* Training platform (BUD) to learn topics, reflect on practice and build your portfolio. The program offers a blended approach including virtual classrooms, webinars, and online assignments.
Requirements and qualifications
* GCSE English Language (Grade 4) desirable.
* GCSE Maths (Grade 4) desirable.
* Let the company know about other relevant qualifications and industry experience you have; they can adjust the apprenticeship accordingly.

Ambition and progression
After this apprenticeship, there may be an opportunity to continue with the same company and progress to Level 5 Early Years Lead Practitioner, EYITT, ECT or Level 3 Early Years SENCO.
