SEN Teaching Assistant (Autism Specialist) - Supply BasisRotherham & Surrounding Areas
are currently seeking dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistants with experience supporting pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) to work across a trust of schools in the Rotherham area on a flexible supply basis.

The Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant (Autism Specialist), your responsibilities will include:
* Providing 1:1 and small group support for pupils with autism
* Supporting pupils with communication, emotional regulation, and social development
* Assisting teachers in delivering tailored learning activities
* Helping to create a safe, positive, and structured classroom environment
* Encouraging independence, engagement, and confidence in pupils
* Working collaboratively with teaching staff, SENCOs, and external professionals
Requirements
Successful candidates will ideally have:
* Previous experience supporting children or young people with autism/SEN
* A patient, nurturing, and adaptable approach
* Strong communication and behaviour management skills
* The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
* Flexibility to work across different school settings
* An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
