We are looking for an ambitious, energetic, and committed tutor who will expand learning experiences and provide tuition for small groups of young people. This allows full engagement and ensures that the program of learning meets the needs of the individual. The ideal candidate will have experience teaching the national curriculum across primary and/or secondary levels within Special Educational Needs. You will support young people who may have autism, emotional behavioural difficulties, ADHD, and associated complex needs.
The position is:
* Monday - Thursday 8:30 - 16:00

Aspris College South Wales is an independent, specialist co-educational college for young adults aged 16-25 with Asperger's syndrome, autistic spectrum disorders, and related conditions, based at Cwmbran. The college was established in partnership with Coleg Gwent, Wales' largest further education college, to meet the academic, social, and emotional needs of our students.
The main responsibilities of this role include:
* Developing, maintaining, and teaching an innovative, inclusive, and engaging curriculum relevant to subject areas as directed by the Curriculum Lead.
* Supporting initial and ongoing assessments, learner achievement, target setting, and other quality measures as required by awarding bodies.
* Planning and preparing schemes of work and individual lessons for learners with diverse needs, including autism, learning disabilities, non-verbal communication, and challenging behaviours. Knowledge of Sign Along and/or Makaton is advantageous.
* Assessing, recording, and reporting on students' development, progress, and attainment in line with the RARPA programme of study.
* Attending progress reviews and providing reports within the agreed timelines.
* Communicating and consulting with other professionals, external agencies, senior management, students, parents, and carers. Flexibility to teach other classes or cohorts when required.
