History Teacher
Location: Wellingborough, Northamptonshire
Contract: Full-time (part-time considered)
Salary: MPS/UPS (dependent on experience)
Start Date: ASAP / September
Tradewind Recruitment is currently working with a secondary school in the Wellingborough area to recruit a dedicated and enthusiastic History Teacher to join a successful humanities department.
This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate History specialist to deliver engaging and high-quality lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4. The ability to teach History at Key Stage 5 would be advantageous but is not essential. Applications are welcome from ECTs and experienced teachers.
The role will involve:
1. Planning and delivering engaging History lessons that inspire students
2. Teaching History across KS3 and KS4
3. Assessing, tracking, and supporting student progress
4. Contributing to a collaborative and supportive humanities team
5. Upholding high standards of behaviour, achievement, and classroom practice
The ideal candidate will:
6. Hold QTS (or be working towards it)
7. Have strong subject knowledge and a passion for History
8. Be able to motivate and challenge students of all abilities
9. Have a commitment to inclusive practice and high expectations
10. Be keen to engage in professional development
