Job Title: Account Manager / Contract Manager / Customer Account Manager – Field Based – East Anglia
Salary: £38,000 – £42,000 + Bonus + Company Car + Benefits
Location: East Anglia & Surrounding Areas – Norwich, Ipswich, Bury St Edmunds, King’s Lynn, Colchester, Great Yarmouth
The Role: We are looking for an experienced Account Manager / Contract Manager / Customer Account Manager to join a market-leading service provider with ambitious growth plans for the next 12 months. This field-based role covers customer sites across Norfolk & Suffolk ensuring exceptional service delivery, operational efficiency, and contract performance.
Responsibilities
* Contract Management
o Manage multiple customer accounts, ensuring all services meet contractual agreements and KPIs.
o Build and maintain long-term relationships with senior client contacts.
o Identify and secure opportunities to upsell additional products and services.
o Represent the business at client meetings, service reviews and user groups.
o Maintain consistent communication at all levels of the customer organisation.
* Operational Management
o Lead and organise the Contract Delivery Team (CDT) to meet daily service schedules.
o Liaise with Customer Services to ensure requirements are met in full.
o Recruit, train, and develop team members to deliver excellent service.
o Monitor performance, address service issues, and drive improvements.
o Manage urgent deliveries, holiday cover, and resource allocation.
o Ensure all deliveries have accurate, compliant paperwork.
* Quality & Compliance
o Promote a quality-first culture across all contracts.
o Work with operational teams to improve processes and reduce inefficiencies.
o Conduct internal audits and maintain compliance with company procedures.
o Collaborate with Customer Services to resolve customer issues quickly.
* Performance & Reporting
o Set and monitor KPIs and service level agreements.
o Produce accurate daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports.
o Monitor budgets and report any cost variances.
o Use company systems to track contract performance and service delivery.
Skills & Experience
* Proven experience as an Account Manager, Contract Manager, or Customer Account Manager in service delivery, logistics, distribution, or facilities management.
* Strong client relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage multiple contracts.
* Leadership experience, with a proven track record in team management.
* IT literate with strong reporting and analytical skills.
* Full UK driving licence – field-based role covering East Anglia.
