Overview
Job title: Sous Chef. Employer: Dartington Trust. Location: The White Hart Pub and restaurant, Dartington Estate. Contract: 3-month fixed-term contract on a variable basis. Salary: £16 hourly rate (£33,280 per annum, Full Time Equivalent). Reporting to: Head Chef. Working pattern: A mix of day and evening shifts.
Responsibilities
* Join the Head Chef and team to create food across festivals, events, a pub, a deli, cafés and a college; focus on farm to fork and sustainable cooking.
* Follow recipes accurately, work as part of a team, develop innovative and quality-obsessed dishes, celebrate the seasons through creative cookery.
* Support sustainability in kitchen operations and contribute to reducing the carbon footprint.
Qualifications
* Minimum of 4 years experience in a professional kitchen.
* Willing to work as part of a team and follow recipes accurately.
* Healthy curiosity about food and an interest in sustainable food supplies.
