Are you an experienced Network Architect with a strong background in defence or secure network environments?
This is an excellent opportunity for a senior-level professional to take on a technical authority position within a growing communications and infrastructure organisation delivering complex, secure network solutions across the UK.
The company is an established engineering-led business specialising in secure network design, architecture and infrastructure transformation projects. With continued growth across defence and highly regulated sectors, they are seeking a Network Architect to lead discovery, design authority and architectural governance across multiple programmes.
In this role, you will act as the technical lead and subject matter expert for complex network challenges, supporting both internal teams and end clients. You will be responsible for network discovery, high- and low-level design production, architectural governance and ensuring solutions align with formal frameworks and security standards.
This position offers technical ownership, stakeholder influence and the opportunity to shape secure, large-scale network environments.
The Role:
* Act as Technical Authority and primary escalation point for complex network challenges
* Lead network discovery activities across LAN, WAN, IP and legacy environments
* Capture stakeholder requirements and define scalable, secure architectures
* Produce and control high- and low-level design documentation and governance artefacts
* Ensure compliance with defence security frameworks and architectural standards
* Identify risks and support migration and transition planning
* Provide technical leadership across multi-disciplinary project teams
* Support project delivery and collaborate with PM and engineering functions
The Person:
* Degree-qualified or equivalent experience in Telecommunications, Network Engineering or similar
* Strong experience within defence or highly regulated network environments
* Proven background in network architecture, discovery and secure design principles
* Experience working within recognised architectural frameworks (e.g. TOGAF or similar)
* Deep understanding of enterprise LAN/WAN/IP network infrastructure
* Eligible for SC clearance as a minimum
* Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
* Comfortable working both in-office and at secure customer sites
