Senior Document Controller
Location: Leatherhead, Surrey
Contract Type: 12-month contract
Rate: £28-£30 per hour
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday (on-site)
A leading engineering project is seeking an experienced Senior Document Controller to oversee and manage document control activities for a major oil and gas development. This role is based full-time in Leatherhead and offers a dynamic opportunity to contribute to a high-profile international project.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the development and implementation of document management plans, procedures, and systems in line with contractual requirements.
Manage supplier and engineering document control processes, ensuring timely and accurate documentation flow.
Supervise document control teams across multiple offices, ensuring consistency and operational efficiency.
Maintain and update key project documentation including Master Document Registers, Distribution Matrices, and Supplier SDRLs/SDLs.
Interface effectively with project teams, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to resolve documentation issues.
Ensure compliance with internal and project-specific document control procedures.
Support training and development of document control personnel.
Utilise document management systems such as IPMS and Documentum.
Monitor and report on document progress and performance metrics.
Essential Requirements:
Proven experience in Supplier Document Management.
Strong understanding of document control systems and processes.
Ability to manage teams and coordinate across multiple locations.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
