Job Summary
Join Wrightbus, a fast‑growing automotive manufacturer, to deliver hands‑on IT support while ensuring network stability, performance and security. Resolve issues, drive security improvements and support key infrastructure projects.
Responsibilities
* Provide day‑to‑day support and maintenance of the company’s LAN, WAN, Wi‑Fi and firewall infrastructure.
* Diagnose and resolve hardware, software and network issues.
* Follow up with customers, provide feedback and see problems through to resolution.
* Update customer data and produce activity reports.
* Maintain Active Directory, Group Policies and M365 Admin functions.
* Contribute to infrastructure, cloud and security improvement projects.
* Log incidents and respond to service requests accurately.
* Conduct root‑cause analysis and implement corrective actions for IT infrastructure and security incidents.
* Investigate and troubleshoot technical issues related to desktops, laptops, printers and mobile devices.
* Coordinate with external vendors for hardware and software problem resolution.
* Create and update knowledge base articles for common issues.
* Provide basic training to end‑users on IT tools and applications.
* Promote self‑help resources to empower users.
Qualifications
* Third‑level education in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field, or equivalent experience in supporting, implementing and managing IT infrastructure.
* Minimum 5 years of technical support experience with Windows and macOS operating systems.
* Familiarity with Active Directory, Office 365 and remote desktop tools.
* Excellent communication skills and a customer‑centric problem‑solving approach.
* Strong knowledge of network administration, networking protocols, cybersecurity principles and vulnerability remediation.
* Experience with firewall technologies.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
* Proficiency in English.
* Working knowledge of help desk software, databases, and remote control.
* Strong client‑facing skills, advanced troubleshooting and multi‑tasking abilities, and a customer service orientation.
