Product Support Engineer (Multiple Positions) (REF257700I)
ETAS, Inc. seeks Product Support Engineers (Multiple Positions) at its facility located at 15800 N. Haggerty Road, Plymouth, MI 48170. The role involves providing technical expertise with respect to ETAS products and solutions, focusing on measurement, calibration, and data analysis of automotive control systems.
Responsibilities include:
1. Supporting the post-sales cycle through technical assistance, including system installation, assessment, debugging, application workshops, and training.
2. Promoting new tool functionalities via presentations and workshops.
3. Maintaining strong customer relationships and facilitating communication between global customer locations and ETAS regions.
4. Leading technical interactions with customers to resolve critical issues and track action items.
5. Proposing and specifying tailored ETAS calibration solutions to improve customers' ECU development processes.
6. Supporting pre-sales activities and overall account strategy through presentations, demonstrations, and evaluation projects.
7. Representing ETAS at industry events and providing technical support via email, phone, and meetings.
8. Providing second-level support and training to internal colleagues on engine modeling, measurement, and calibration topics.
9. Conducting ETAS training classes and maintaining training materials.
Minimum requirements include a bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering or computer science field plus 3 years of experience in software support or customer relationship management within the automotive industry. Specific technical experience required includes:
* Communication standards: CAN CCP, CAN XCP, ISO15765, XCP on ETH
* Automotive networks: CAN, CAN FD, LIN, Automotive Ethernet 100/1000Base-T, 10Base-T1S
* Scripting in Python, C#, VBA
* Data measurement using A/D scanning, Thermo scanning, frequency meters
* Embedded software calibration processes and ASAM standards (ASAP2, ASAP3)
* Vehicle subsystem development and MATLAB Simulink
* Defect tracking software: TFS, Jira, Salesforce
