Job Responsibilities
6. Remain informed and up to date on new drugs, therapies and developments in the pharmacy industry.
7. Adhere to all company, state, federal policies, laws and regulations including HIPAA.
8. Continuously build professional rapport with outside partners including physicians, nurses, medical assistants, drug reps and vendors.
9. Maintain production rates and meet quality expectations as determined by leadership.
10. Train and mentor new team members upon hire.
11. Administer immunizations.
12. Create and maintain a positive work environment for all team members.
13. Verify accurate replenishment of system canisters with appropriate medication.
14. Model excellent patient care.
15. Verify all filled prescriptions for accuracy using company quality assurance policies and procedures.
16. Quality check all prescriptions to ensure accurate medication/durable medical equipment is dispensed.
17. Address and resolve prescription order exceptions as necessary.
18. Complete incoming/outgoing prescription transfers.
19. Assist Team Leader in maintaining inventories, ordering products and supplies.
20. Maintain a neat and sterile work environment to ensure all company, local, state and federal government requirements are met.
21. Perform duties of Pharmacy Manager and technician as required.
22. Assist technicians in interpretation of prescriptions and third party billing.
23. Complete required paperwork and have knowledge of the audit process.
24. Maintain production metrics and operational goals.
25. Attend and participate in quarterly CQI meetings.
