Job Summary
The post holder will work closely with the SEOxHA Primary Care Network Clinical (PCN) Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians to provide efficient and comprehensive administrative support in our new Pharmacy Hub and across the PCN.
They will communicate with a wide range of health care professionals across the PCN, developing and forming professional working relationships, and maintain a positive image to patients and visitors.
The post holder must be able to work independently, autonomously, and take ownership of workstreams and new projects.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Provide comprehensive and confidential administrative support in all areas associated with medicine safety and prescribing.
* Coordinate pharmacist workload, assign work, and manage clinics.
* Support prescription teams within each practice with agreed pathways and processes.
* Follow protocols to carry out basic calculations to assist clinical decision making.
* Support key projects with the Pharmacy team, including medication reviews, hospital discharges, MHRA alerts, out‑of‑stock medication, medication shortages, and drug safety monitoring.
* Provide administrative support for clinical pathways such as hypertension, atrial fibrillation & DOAC monitoring, lipids, diabetes, and CKD.
* Develop relationships with local pharmacies to assist with queries, e.g., multi‑compartment compliance aids.

Person Specification
Experience (Essential)
* Experience of working in a healthcare or social care setting/General Practice.
* Strong verbal & written communication skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* High level of accuracy in presentation of information.
* Experience of using Microsoft Office.
* Attention to accuracy and details on a consistent basis.
Experience (Desirable)
* Experience of working in a GP Pharmacy team or community pharmacy.
* Experience in a safeguarding role in a healthcare setting.
* Experience of risk assessment and recording significant events.
* Experience of using EMIS clinical system.
Qualifications (Essential)
* Educated to GCSE level or equivalent.
