For this role, it is desirable that you hold a full UK manual driving licence, as the people we support may require staff to drive their mobility vehicles. This is a Bank (as and when required) role, meaning shifts will be offered based on service needs. The Role As a Bank Support Practitioner in Clydebank, you will provide high-quality, person-centred support when it's needed most. You will help ensure consistent support during staff leave, sickness or training. To build trusting relationships with the people we support, we ask that you ideally pick up 1–2 shifts per week. Our supported individuals have a range of needs, including learning disabilities, mental health challenges, Acquired Brain Injuries, addictions and past trauma. Working within a trauma-aware approach, you'll play a vital role in helping people live fulfilled and independent lives. Your responsibilities may include: Supporting with meal preparation and medication Providing personal care and assisting with moving and handling Supporting individuals to attend appointments and community activities Encouraging hobbies, interests, social opportunities and confidence-building Supporting with budgeting, daily living skills and personal organisation Providing emotional support and helping individuals maintain positive relationships No two days are the same, and every shift offers the chance to make a meaningful difference. Shift Patterns Our Clydebank service provides 24/7 support. As part of the bank team, you may be offered: Early shifts from 7:30am Late shifts Sleepovers Potential waking nights Weekends and public holidays Shift times may vary as individuals settle into their new routines. Sleepovers are paid at £90.40 per sleepover, in addition to your hourly rate. What We're Looking For To be a great Bank Support Practitioner, you will bring: A caring and empathetic nature Excellent communication skills Confidence with computers and digital systems The ability to work well both independently and within a team Strong organisational skills No previous care experience is required.
