🔧 Operations Manager – Engineering, Denton
💼 Up to £50,000 + Bonus Scheme
⏰ Mon–Thu: 8 AM–5 PM | Fri: 8 AM–4 PM (Occasional early finish)

This business are at the forefront of precision manufacturing, delivering high-quality components to the aerospace and defence sectors and displaying 10%-20% year on year growth.
Their Denton facility is a hub of innovation, safety, and operational excellence and they are seeking a dynamic Operations Manager to lead the team and drive continuous improvement in it’s manufacturing processes.
Your Role:
As Operations Manager, you will:
* Oversee daily production activities, ensuring alignment with delivery, quality, and cost targets.
* Lead and inspire a diverse team of engineers, operators, and support staff.
* Champion a Safety-First culture, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
* Drive Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement initiatives across the production floor.
* Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to support new product introductions and process improvements.
* Monitor and drive performance using SQCDP (Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, People) principles and operational KPIs.
* Act as the initial operational escalation point for customer and stakeholder issues, providing timely updates and resolutions.
About You:
You are a proactive and engaging leader with:
* Proven experience in a production or operations management role within a manufacturing or engineering environment—Aerospace or Defence sector experience is highly desirable.
* Strong leadership capabilities with a hands-on, proactive, and engaging management style.
* Sound understanding of engineering drawings, CAD data, and technical documentation.
* Solid grasp of Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
* Strong communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels.
* Commercially aware, with experience managing risk and contributing to strategic decisions.
* Confident in using business systems and tools (e.g., Excel, SAP, Power BI); upskilling would be available as required.
* Holds a full UK driving licence and has the legal right to work in the UK.
