A specialist school in Newham is currently looking for a full-time SEMH Teaching Assistant to support students with social, emotional, and mental health needs. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who can build positive relationships, provide consistent support, and help create a safe and engaging learning environment.
The role will include: • Supporting students both inside and outside of the classroom • Managing challenging behaviour using positive behaviour strategies • Encouraging emotional regulation and social development • Building strong and trusting relationships with students and staff • Helping students stay engaged with learning and daily routines
Experience working within education, youth work, social care, or similar settings would be highly beneficial. Personal experience supporting individuals with additional needs is also welcomed.
