We are looking for a Production Shift Manager to join our team manufacturing hygiene paper products.

As a Shift Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the converting floor during your assigned shift. You will lead a team of production employees, ensuring targets are met while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency

Responsibilities:


1. Lead by example, ensuring a safe and efficient work place is maintained at all times
2. Achieve the required company quality standards ensuring both internal and external customer satisfaction
3. Ensuring that Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) are monitored and targets achieved
4. Liaise and coordinate with support functions to progress issues concerning production planning and resource/skill allocation to ensure delivery of products to schedule within all relevant quality specifications
5. Communicate with the teams by utilising the visual management, delivering shift briefs with focus on quality, cost and delivery, and gathering ideas for improvement
6. Undertake performance management responsibility for team members, conducting appraisals and giving direction to aid good performance
7. Ensure safe working practices are maintained and ‘Standard Operations’ adhered to
8. Ensure that non-conformance is challenged and counter-measures are agreed and implemented
9. Lead and motivate the team to create a high performance culture where improvement suggestions are embraced
10. Strive to exceed the Company targets in productivity, efficiency and quality on a continuous basis
11. Report and act upon plant or machinery breakdowns to maintenance technicians
12. Ensure housekeeping is kept to a high standard

People Management:

13. Manage manpower resource effectively maximising keys skills in the right areas
14. Drive company Absence Control Procedures to ensure maximum attendance levels
15. Manage time and attendance within Company procedures
16. Motivate and coach the team to operational success
17. Monitor the completion of tasks and ensure good performance
18. Consistently promote high standards through personal example and roll out through the team so that each member of the team understands the standards and behaviours expected of them
19. Ensure KPIs are met by working to the overall plan, including management of, and reporting
20. Provide product expertise within team, and respond to operator queries
21. Support, comply and ensure complicity with Health & Safety regulations, the Company Handbook, Quality and Environmental standards, and all other Company policies and procedures

Shift Pattern:

Monday to Thursday Nightshift - 44 Hours per week

7pm - 7am
