As a Global Materials Planning Manager, you will be responsible for inventory reviews and management of critical inventory category (Glass, BioScience, Devices, Packaging) to ensure sites and brands remain within acceptable ranges. Accountable for handover of the material plan to the Site Materials Scheduler for materials call-offs. Responsible for defining and maintaining planning parameters and inventory levels for all raw materials (safety stock, delivery batch, lead times). Responsible for driving materials management excellence across the end to end supply chain and leading system/tool/process improvements where needed to support site logistics management of materials. Key operational interface to Procurement teams e.g. contract negotiation / re-negotiation, NPI etc. Key operational interface to Therapy Teams e.g. growth/decline of brands, transitions etc.

1. Responsible for determining stock policy for all 3rd party purchasing required for the production process at all sites within the category (Ultimate accountability is Head of Global Supply Chain Planning (Therapy)). This excludes externally purchased APIs.
2. Set boundaries, policies and replenishment models for the material scheduling activities at sites.
3. Ensure an appropriate 24 month+ inbound materials supply for the therapy, agreed by sites, suppliers and procurement, focusing in particular on critical and unique items and risk management strategies.
4. Ensuring management of inventory/obsolescence and materials phase in/out in case of changes.
5. Monitoring and performance management of site material scheduling activities e.g. adherence to planning parameters, adherence to contractual terms, overall working capital performance versus targets.
6. Initiate and lead performance improvement projects with sites and procurement to improve service / working capital e.g. VMI.
7. Help to shape a consolidated demand signal into the procurement team, to provide visibility for a minimum 2 year horizon for strategic purchasing process.
8. Partner with procurement on the relevant procurement operating boards, to represent the needs of the global therapy.
9. Support strategic supplier reviews with procurement; KPI reporting, supplier performance management.
10. Lead continuous improvement and value engineering projects with sites, procurement and New Product Introduction.
Basic Qualifications:

11. Bachelor's Degree
12. Or Associates with 8+ years of experience in materials planning
13. 5+ years of experience in supply chain
