 
        
        Overview
Neonatal Ward Manager role at University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust. Base site: Royal Lancaster Infirmary. The role involves leading and developing nursing staff and services to provide high quality, safe, cost-effective care for babies and families, under the supervision of the Neonatal Matron.
The post holder will sustain clinical credibility and visibility, participate in a clinical rota with the Matron to maintain skills, and contribute to delivering excellent care through a multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities
 * Provide professional and managerial leadership in the delivery of high quality, safe, cost-effective neonatal care for babies and families.
 * Manage and develop nursing staff and services within the Local Neonatal Unit.
 * Ensure clinical standards and professional practice are maintained within the unit and coordinate staff resources and the environment.
 * Support the Matron for Neonatal Services and help shape the future of the service.
 * Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high standards of safe and effective care and a positive experience for families.
Qualifications
 * A qualified specialist neonatal nurse with experience at band 6 or above.
 * Specialist clinical knowledge, strong communication and leadership skills.
