Offer description

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a genuine commitment to delivering person-centred care. They will be adaptable, resilient, and dedicated to supporting the unique needs of residents. As a Staff Nurse, you will work effectively within a team, possess excellent communication skills, and show a keen attention to detail in maintaining the highest standards of care.


Responsibilities:

1. Resident Care: Provide high-quality nursing care, ensuring the physical, emotional, and social needs of each resident are met.
2. Medication Administration: Safely and accurately administer medication, monitor effects, and document all necessary information in compliance with regulatory standards.
3. Care Planning: Develop, review, and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with residents, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
4. Health Monitoring: Regularly assess and monitor residents' health, promptly identifying and addressing any changes in condition.
5. Documentation: Maintain accurate, up-to-date medical records and reports in line with regulatory requirements and internal protocols.
6. Team Collaboration: Work closely with fellow staff to foster a supportive, collaborative work environment that promotes continuity of care.
7. Family Engagement: Communicate effectively with residents' families, providing updates and guidance as needed to support the well-being of their loved ones.
8. Regulatory Compliance: Adhere to all relevant health, safety, and care standards to ensure a safe and compliant environment for residents and staff alike.

Minimum Requirements:

1. Registered Nurse Qualification: RGN (Registered General Nurse) or RMN (Registered Mental Nurse).
2. NMC Registration: Active registration with the UK Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
3. Experience in Elderly and Dementia Care: Previous experience in elderly care, particularly dementia care, is preferred.
4. Strong Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, essential for effective interactions with residents, families, and colleagues.
5. Adaptability and Resilience: Ability to work under pressure in a busy care environment while maintaining professionalism and empathy.
