Teaching Assistant Location: Spalding, Lincolnshire (PE11) Pay: £103-£110 per day Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm Contract: Long-term with potential to become permanent Start Date: ASAP About the Role We are delighted to be supporting a newly established special needs school in Spalding (PE11), catering for children and young people aged 2-19 with a wide range of learning difficulties, disabilities and SEMH needs. Pupils are taught in small, nurturing groups, allowing them to build trust, regulate emotions and re-engage positively with learning. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting their confidence, development and independence across a varied, life-skills-focused curriculum. Key Responsibilities Providing 1:1 and small-group SEN/SEMH support Assisting in the delivery of engaging, practical lessons Promoting emotional wellbeing and positive behaviour Supporting life skills, independence and social development Working collaboratively with teachers, therapists and specialist support teams Who We're Looking For We welcome applications from individuals with a wide range of backgrounds, including: Teaching Assistants or school support staff Care, residential or support workers Youth workers, mentors or sports coaches Mental health or wellbeing professionals Creative backgrounds such as Art, Music or Drama Anyone with a genuine passion for supporting young people Essential Attributes Ability to build warm, trusting relationships Strong communication and teamwork skills Resilience, empathy and adaptability Commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one) Location The school is easily accessible from Spalding, Pinchbeck, Holbeach, Crowland, Bourne, Surfleet, Gosberton, Donington and surrounding PE11 and PE10 areas.
