The Role Due to consistent and steady growth in the Transport sector, Realise are recruiting an Operations Manager to oversee our Apprenticeship contracts. Reporting into Director of Transport, your main objective is to lead a team of Training Managers to deliver excellent learner and employer experiences that support the growth and profitability of the sector, whilst always maintaining our ethos of ‘Right Learner, Right Programme, Together’. Whilst we can’t promise that every day will be the same, your key responsibilities are likely to be: - Lead the team of Training Managers day to day, coaching and guiding them to create a great environment where their people thrive and where they achieve the core deliverables of their role - Lead change within the sector, e.g. implementation of quality improvement projects - Oversee the local relationships of all transport key apprenticeship accounts - Work with other departments in Realise to improve efficiencies and enhance the learner and employer experience - Work with the Director of Transport to understand the sector’s strategy, communicating and engaging on this across the teams and driving implementation - Increase brand awareness by attending relevant networking opportunities - Support the recruitment process and ensure new team members are onboarded effectively - Work in partnership with the EPA manager to support the volume of learners entering gateway and feedback to support the learner and employer experience - Manage contracts to ensure budgets and targets are achieved The Benefits - 25 days holiday plus public and bank holidays - Birthday and Christmas Eve off - Flexible working - Health Shield scheme - Life insurance - Enhanced maternity, paternity and adoption pay - Sick pay - Bereavement leave - Employee Assistance Programme - £1,000 Employee Referral Bonus About You - Proven senior leader with experience managing managers and large, multi-disciplinary teams. - Skilled at handling complex and difficult conversations with professionalism and impact. - Strong stakeholder management at senior level (e.g. Directors, Regulators, Local Authorities). - Commercially astute with solid financial management and risk awareness. - Data-driven decision maker with sound judgment and problem-solving skills. - Confident communicator and presenter, able to represent Realise with authority. - Flexible and resilient, balancing strategic priorities with operational delivery. - Knowledge of the Transport sector is desirable but not essential.
