The Role and Candidate
We are searching for an Assistant Store Manager to work alongside our Store Manager in our new Liverpool store. This key role manages the store across all retail operations and ensures the sales team delivers exceptional customer service that meets POP MART’s standards.

Responsibilities
* Assist the Store Manager with all aspects of store operations.
* Provide exceptional customer service and resolve any customer issues or complaints.
* Train and supervise the sales team, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
* Collaborate with the Store Manager to develop strategies to achieve sales targets.
* Closely monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the merchandising team for replenishment.
* Control stock discrepancies and prevent shoplifting.
* Own visual merchandising; ensure the store’s tidiness and cleanliness at the highest level.
* Manage the cashier point’s daily opening and closing procedures.
* Conduct regular staff meetings to communicate goals, expectations, and updates.
* Assist in recruitment, evaluation of potential candidates, and training of new team members.
* Perform administrative tasks such as rota scheduling and sales reporting.
* Be available for flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
* 2+ years of full‑time experience at a store management level.
* Fluent in professional English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Proactive customer service skills to provide a memorable shopping experience.
* Proven ability to develop and implement strategies to achieve sales targets.
* Demonstrated leadership skills with experience supervising a team.
* Strong organisational skills with keen attention to detail.
* Proficient in administrative tasks such as rota scheduling and reporting.
* Effective time management and task prioritisation abilities.
* Team‑oriented mindset with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
Desirable but Not Essential
* Experience in the toy or collectibles industry.
* Knowledge of visual merchandising techniques.
* Familiarity with retail management software and point‑of‑sale systems.
