The Role
Working closely with all members of MDT and associated clerical staff, the postholder will be responsible for ensuring the timely and planned movement of cancer and suspected cancer patients through their journey from referral onwards. They will co-ordinate and monitor the investigation and treatment journey for urgent patients ensuring delays are pre-empted and resolved to enable the patients to receive treatment in line with national targets.

What we'll need you to bring
1. HND Business Administration or equivalent experience
2. Minimum 3 years administration experience within a hospital setting
3. Proficient in use of Software systems
4. Advanced keyboard skills
5. Excellent Organisational and communication skills
6. Track record of ability to prioritise and problem solve.
7. A driving licence is required, this must be a full UK/EU/EEA licence.
It would be great if you also have
8. Knowledge of medical terminology
9. Understanding of the importance of data quality
10. Knowledge of cancer waiting times standards
11. Proficient in the use of hospital systems including Trakcare
12. Excellent interpersonal skills
13. Thorough and meticulous

Location
This role will be based in Cancer Services within University Hospital Wishaw.
