A typical day in the life of a Corporate Finance Executive

* Support the partner in leading M&A transactions from commencement through to completion, including liaising with clients, lawyers, funders, and other advisers.
* Undertake valuations of a variety of businesses, either as standalone engagements or to support M&A assessments.
* Prepare Pathfinders and Information Memoranda as key components of a business sale process.
* Review potential acquirers and targets by examining websites and collaborating with partners across the UK and overseas, preparing outputs for client presentations (both written and verbal).
* Develop financial projection models, working closely with clients to validate assumptions.
* Assist with fund-raising activities, identifying funding sources, liaising with funders and clients, and responding to information requests.
* Participate in financial due diligence to support transactions, private equity, and fund-raising efforts.
* Conduct initial research and analysis for pitches, and assist in their preparation and delivery.
* Suggest improvements to departmental processes and systems.
* Build a network of contacts within the North-East professional community and serve as a regional ambassador for Corporate Finance.

* Ability to establish rapport, build trust, and demonstrate credibility.
* Willingness and ability to travel to client sites and attend networking events.
* Excellent communication skills, confident in face-to-face, telephone, and email interactions.
* Ownership mindset to manage tasks from start to finish.
* Attention to detail and accuracy in work.
* Decision-making, problem-solving, and proactive action-taking skills.
* Flexibility and proactivity in managing multiple priorities.
* Strong IT skills.

Preferred qualifications include recent practice experience with exposure to accounts, audit, and/or tax, along with technical expertise. Experience in preparing or reviewing financial projection models and share valuation models is also advantageous.
