✨ URGENT CONTRACT: Flexi Inspection Operator (4-on/4-off Shift)

We are seeking an experienced and immediately available Flexi Inspection Operator to join our fast-paced manufacturing team in Swindon. This role is crucial for maintaining production and quality compliance within our highly regulated environment.
The successful candidate must be adaptable, technically proficient, and strictly adhere to GMP standards.
📅 The Unique Shift Pattern
* Hours: 48 hours per week, structured around a compressed shift schedule.
* Rotation: 4 consecutive 12-hour shifts ON, followed by 4 consecutive days OFF. (This includes rotating days, nights, and weekends.)
🏭 Core Activities & Responsibilities
1. Encapsulation Machine Operation & Support
* Operate and maintain up to two Encapsulation Machines (covering up to four during breaks).
* Coordinate proactively with the crib mechanic for upcoming changeovers.
* Perform Teardown and Setup/Assembly of the Encapsulation Machine per batch records if utility support is unavailable.
* Monitor material/gel usage and ensure components are not used past expiration.
* Troubleshoot equipment faults to maintain product quality and minimise rejection.
2. Quality Control & Inspection
* Perform detailed In-Process Checks (IPC) and meticulously evaluate product quality (e.g., softgels, blister packs) against specifications.
* Monitor the encapsulation process to minimize rejected product at the machine.
* Immediately Notify Supervision of any deviation from the batch record or SOP.
3. Compliance & Material Handling
* Accurately and completely Finalise documentation related to the encapsulation and inspection process.
* Handle, assemble, and stage tray stacks with manufactured softgels.
* Manage non-hazardous, hazardous, and DEA materials and waste according to safety protocols.
* Maintain a clean and orderly work area (GMP).
👤 Candidate Requirements
* Experience: Proven experience operating production machinery, ideally within a Pharmaceutical (Pharma) or regulated Nutraceutical environment.
* Compliance: Mandatory working knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and strict adherence to SOPs and Batch Records.
* Skillset: Must have a strong mechanical aptitude for machine setup, teardown, and troubleshooting.
* Availability: Must be available to start immediately and comfortable with the demanding 12-hour shift and 4-on/4-off rotating schedule.
* Environment: Must be comfortable working in a high-noise manufacturing area with exposure to industrial chemicals and potent compounds.
