* Lead and develop the Biology curriculum across KS3‑KS5

* Use performance data strategically to secure excellent outcomes
* Line manage and develop colleagues
* Oversee departmental improvement planning and quality assurance
* Contribute fully to whole‑school priorities
* Lead an exciting extra‑ and super‑curricular programme
* 64% of GCSE Biology students achieved Grade 7+
* 73% of A‑Level Biology students achieved A‑B last year
* AQA Biology at GCSE and A‑Level
* Strong emphasis on practical work and academic depth
* Extensive outreach, university visits and enrichment programme
* Biology is popular and successful at Sixth Form, with significant A‑Level teaching available. The department is collaborative, well‑resourced and highly supportive.
* Holds QTS and a strong honours degree in a related subject
* Can teach Biology to KS5 and Science across KS3/4
* Is reflective, organised and inspirational
* Is committed to safeguarding and inclusion
