Customer Validation & Master Data Representative
* Contract Length: 12 months
* Hours: 37 hours per week
* Work Location: Onsite (Sandwich or Walton Oaks)
* Pay rate: up to £23p/h
ROLE PURPOSE
The Customer Validation & Master Data Representative plays a vital role in the Customer Account and Supply Management function within Global Supply Chain. This team collaborates with internal and external partners to ensure the secure, compliant, and timely supply of medicines. The role supports the Customer Account & Supply Management Manager to ensure customer master data, validations, and associated processes are executed accurately and efficiently.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Set up and maintain accurate customer accounts and master data in SAP.
Resolve internal and external customer queries, ensuring high service levels.
Conduct periodic customer revalidations in line with SOPs.
Perform licensing and regulatory checks to ensure GDP compliance.
Monitor system data flows, resolve interface errors, and maintain data quality.
Support continuous improvement initiatives and act as SME for key processes.
Manage shared mailboxes, records, and ensure audit-ready documentation.
Collaborate cross-functionally to enhance customer experience and operational efficiency.
Mandatory requirements:
Strong Customer Service Experience
Handling challenging queries—particularly over the phone—is central to the role. The candidate must be able to communicate clearly, manage complaints, and maintain professionalism with both internal and external customers.
High Accuracy & Attention to Detail
The role involves validating customer accounts, maintaining master data in SAP, performing periodic revalidations, and ensuring compliance with regulations. Precision is essential because errors impact licensing, product supply, and audit outcomes.
SAP or ERP System Competency (preferred but highly beneficial)
Experience with SAP is a strong advantage. The role requires creating, updating, and troubleshooting customer master data and interface issues between systems.
Ability to Work Under Pressure & Multitask
This role involves daily deadlines, multiple incoming requests, system monitoring, and prioritising competing tasks—so working efficiently in a dynamic environment is critical.
Strong Communication & Interpersonal Skills
Clear written and verbal communication is essential for liaising with customers about account validation, working with service partners, and collaborating across teams. The role also requires confident decision‑making and stakeholder engagement.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
Required:
• GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English.
• Experience handling challenging customer queries.
• Strong IT skills including MS Office.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• High accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to make informed decisions.
• Comfortable in dynamic, multitasking environments.
• Basic data analysis skills.
Preferred:
• B2B customer service experience.
• SAP experience.
• Knowledge of GDP requirements.
