Role Overview
The Operational Compliance Co-ordinator ensures the organization complies with health, safety, environmental, and sustainability standards. Responsibilities include coordinating initiatives, monitoring performance, and fostering a safe, sustainable work environment while adhering to regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
Main Responsibilities
Health and Safety
* Support the operation of the Global Safety Management System (SMS) at the Bridgend site.
* Develop and maintain health and safety information, posters, guides, etc., as per site requirements.
* Maintain the EHS accident database; follow up on incidents; assist in investigations and reporting.
* Oversee first aid requirements and lead the First Aid team.
* Perform risk assessments and COSHH; support training for staff.
* Support the UK EHS Manager and Director, Technical Services in health & safety KPIs.
* Conduct site EHS audits and lead safety projects.
* Participate in global safety initiatives and conduct fire drills.
Environmental
* Support environmental initiatives and ESG programs.
* Monitor and report on environmental data such as energy, water, and emissions.
* Ensure waste data accuracy and compliance with licenses and permits.
* Lead energy efficiency projects and act as Energy Champion for ESOS.
* Ensure compliance with antibiotic and animal health regulations.
Training
* Conduct H&S induction and safety training.
* Oversee DSE assessments and environmental awareness training.
Security
* Assist in managing site security measures.
Other Duties
* Represent EHS in meetings and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Outcomes

Qualifications & Skills
* Health & Safety qualification (minimum IOSH or equivalent).
* Knowledge of safety regulations, risk assessments, COSHH, waste management, energy monitoring, and environmental licenses.
* Experience with energy-saving initiatives and ESOS.
* Strong data analysis, audit, and training skills.
* Proficiency in MS Office and data management systems.
