These opportunities are for those who have A-levels or equivalent and looking to undertake a Degree Apprenticeship (level 6). This opportunity is for our Altrincham office. The successful candidate will be enrolled onto the BSc (Hons) Project Management Degree Apprenticeship course with QA. Candidates should live a commutable distance from our Altrincham office, the training provided by QA will be delivered virtually.

Standard entry requirements

QA offers flexible entry routes to support diverse learners. Typical entry includes Level 3 qualifications (e.g. A Levels).

You need to have resided in England for at least three years. We can not offer visa sponsorship for this opportunity.

Job Description

As a paid apprentice, you'll gain hands-on experience working on real-world projects that make a difference. Alongside your role, you'll complete classroom-based learning - either in person or virtually. Upon completion, you'll earn a nationally recognised qualification that leads onto to exciting career opportunities.

Our Degree Apprenticeships typically last around five years, depending on the course, and are designed to help you grow both professionally and personally. You'll be part of a team that's shaping tomorrow's world - whether that's through innovation, sustainability, or community impact.

This opportunity is for our Rail Systems team, based in our Transportation business unit.


As a member of the Project Management Team, you will work within a team developing and delivering Rail projects from inception to handover and completion. This will include scheme definition, feasibility, design development, procurement and Contract Administration.



In this role, you will liaise closely with multiple stakeholders and clients, co-ordinate multi-disciplinary design teams, draft and manage the production of reports and tender documents, monitor cost and schedule and manage the Health & Safety and Quality Assurance aspects of projects.



You will be confident in contributing to a technical team and as a key member of a project team, liaising directly with the client, project sponsors and key stakeholders when necessary.
