Sales Director – Data & AI (Microsoft Ecosystem)

We are working with a leading Microsoft-focused technology and transformation consultancy who are looking for an experienced Sales Director for Data & AI. This senior commercial role will drive growth across a rapidly expanding Microsoft Data, AI, and Business Applications practice, owning strategic enterprise relationships, high-value pursuits, and the go-to-market strategy alongside key Microsoft stakeholders.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Building trusted relationships with C-level and senior decision makers, deeply understanding their business challenges and aligning them with Microsoft Data & AI solutions.
* Positioning Microsoft-aligned offerings including Azure Data Services, Fabric, AI Services, Copilot, Power Platform, and Data Modernisation to solve client pain points and deliver measurable business value.
* Leading the full Microsoft-centric sales lifecycle—building pipeline, qualifying opportunities, shaping solutions with pre-sales architects, driving commercial proposals, and closing complex enterprise deals.
* Working hand-in-hand with the Microsoft partner ecosystem—including Microsoft account teams, PDMs, CSU/SSPs, and ISV partners—to build joint propositions, leverage Microsoft funding programs, and accelerate deal velocity.
* Representing the organisation at Microsoft events, industry forums, and sector conferences, promoting Data & AI capabilities and expanding visibility within the Microsoft community.
Your Experience
* Extensive experience selling Microsoft Data & AI, Azure, Power Platform, or Business Applications solutions into large enterprise organisations.
* Strong understanding of Microsoft’s commercial landscape, including:
* Azure Data & AI Services (e.g., Fabric, Synapse, AI Services, OpenAI, governance & analytics)
* Power Platform (PowerApps, Power Automate, Power BI)
* Business Applications (Dynamics 365 advantageous)
* Microsoft co-sell motions, partner programs, incentives and funding models
* Proven track record of orchestrating cross-functional pursuit teams—technical pre-sales, architects, delivery consultants, and project managers—to craft compelling Microsoft-led value propositions.
* Demonstrated ability to articulate the strategic value of Microsoft Consulting and Managed Services, aligning solutions to long-term digital transformation goals.
* Strong commercial performance history, consistently delivering £2M+ in annual contract value across Microsoft Data & AI engagements.
