Springside Care home is looking for a reliable, conscientious and enthusiastic Care Assistant to join our friendly ever-growing team in a small residential care home, currently supporting 5 adults with learning disabilities. This is a rewarding role where you will be required to support individuals to live a happy, independent and fulfilled life in a safe and supportive home environment.
About the role:
As a Care Assistant, you will be providing personal care and support to residents with their daily living, while promoting dignity, choice and independence. Every day is different and your support will make a genuine difference to the lives of the people who live here.
Your duties will include:
* Supporting with personal care in a respectful person centred way.
* Helping residents with daily living skills such as cooking, cleaning and shopping.
* Encouraging hobbies, social interaction, and new experiences.
* Supporting individuals to access the community, activities and appointments.
* Administering and/or supporting with medication (full training provided).
* Keeping clear, accurate care records

• Working as part of a team to ensure a safe, positive work environment.

Essential requirements:
* Right to work in the UK (evidence to be provided at interview).
* An enhanced DBS check (provided by employer if needed).
* Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, sleep in's and weekends
