Department: Underwriting
Reports to: Senior Underwriting Assistant Manager
Overall Role Purpose:
To provide support to Underwriters and Underwriting Assistants with the processing of documentation, reports and general day to day support as set out in the Underwriting Policy, procedures, and the Association’s Business Plan.
Person specification;
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensuring entries /enquiries / declines and initial fleet set up are added to the computerwithin the time frames set out in the Underwriting service standards.
* Ensuring NTUs arerecorded in a timely matter.
* Ensuring monthlyreports are up-to-date and accurate.
* Ensuring filing for theUWs is completed in a timely manner and renamed as appropriate.
* Assist with processingcharterer’s entries and basic entries.
* Processing anydocumentation required in an efficient and timely manner.
* The update,enhancement and control of the Club’s ‘Know Your Client’ requirements,including assisting underwriters perform enquiries of Members to meetthose requirements.
* Minutes of teammeetings.
* Adhering strictly tocurrent underwriting guidelines and procedures.
Renewals:
* To assist theUnderwriter in the processing of renewals for existing allocated membersby:
* Ensuring the efficientand timely production of all renewal documentation relating to the fleet’sentry with the Association.
* Liaising with the creditcontrol department in order to check the up to date debt position as partof the renewal assessment process.
General administration:
* To ensure efficientand timely production of documentation relating to fleets entered in theAssociation.
* Preparing ad hoc analysisand reports as directed.
* Maintaining orderly systemfiles in accordance with the Underwriting Department service standards.
* Assist in creating newfiling procedures.
Marketing:
* To work with theUnderwriter in the development of new business as directed and to assist withbusiness development and promote the interests of the Association withinthe underwriters designated geographical areas of responsibility by
* Meeting Members and Brokers as required and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and service providers to enhance service delivery.
Service:
* To provide the highestquality service to Members in line with the Association’s servicestandards. To work with all other offices and departments in line with theAssociation’s policies and procedures to ensure the Association’s goalsare met.
* To perform any other duties as may be requested in connection with any of the business of the Club.
