Responsibilities


As a Technical Support Engineer at Vestas, you will play a key role in improving the manufacturing processes for wind turbine blades.

1. Facilitate continuous improvement on Infusion processes across the manufacturing sites and conduct Materials qualifications
2. Analysis of AS IS and future state and be proactive in improving activities
3. Create and maintain a plan for improvement and the needed Engineering Change Notices (CN’s)
4. Participate in improvement tasks / projects and act as case handler on an escalation process, used when factories can not progress the production – meaning it is both urgent and most of the time critical to get solved fast
5. Conduct material qualifications including plans for the material tests, ensure all tests are documented according to our business processes and be part of building a culture of excellence, innovation, and accountability
6. Use digital tools like data analytics to improve performance and make data-driven decisions and investigating and solving production issues using structured methods such as the 5x Whys, Fishbone Diagrams, and FMEA
7. Applying continuous improvement principles using quality tools like Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Lean

Qualifications

8. Bachelor degree in Mechanical engineer or alike
9. GB Six Sigma or Advance Manufacturing Process Analysis
10. 5 years of experience in similar roles
11. Experience in leading improvement tasks, analyses manufacturing process, including material performance
12. Composite Materials Knowledge, understanding of fiberglass, carbon fiber, epoxy resins, and other materials used in production
13. Focused on optimization and standardization within manufacturing processes with use of the toolbox also mentioned above
14. Process Design & Optimization Knowledge in processes blades Infusion, or manufacturing processes in general

15. A blend of technical, analytical, and operational competencies tailored to composite materials, precision manufacturing, and continuous improvement
16. You are interested and willing to spend time in the factory environment as required to understand and solve problems
17. Data-Driven Decision Making, use statistical Process Control and Six Sigma
18. You are self-motivated; result-oriented and possess great organizational discipline
19. You find it exciting and interesting to work with other people in a large organization and can build up an intensive network across cultures and time zones and work with stakeholders
20. You are customer-oriented and can understand the complete business value chain seen from a customer perspective
21. You are committed to learning
