J ob Summary The Senior Project Manager manages the delivery of IQGeo’s Web and Mobile Mapping Software for domestic and international enterprise customers. This role joins a dynamic PMO team that delivers success to our customers by utilising Agile and SCRUM methodologies to deliver customised and tailored software solutions. The PMO sits within IQGeo’s Global Customer Services Organisation. As an integral part of the IQGeo geospatial project management team, the successful candidate will be the key leader on the project, and within the program’s SCRUM team, responsible for delivering the IQGeo solutions to our customers in the Utility and Telecommunications markets. The candidate is expected to work independently, but also as a team member, and will have a working knowledge of software implementation methodologies. Handling multiple account objectives, managing to budget/profitability objectives, meeting deliverable milestones and professionally managing risks and expectations are paramount for the role. Responsibilities Project pricing, scope, schedule, and budget constraints within an agreed project plan. Managing to overall budget(s) and profitability objectives for the project Creating, administering and executing project plans, from proposal creation and contract definition through project completion and acceptance. Manage project resources, margins, deliverables and timelines. Manage expectations, risks and escalations. Participate in pre-project scoping and pricing conversations with sales and account teams. Liaise between client IT and IQGeo Systems Engineering for infrastructure design and troubleshooting. Administrative lead on all issues related to the management and execution of the project. Develop strong, trusted-advisor relationships within the customer’s project team. Understand complex software, system and platform technology. Coordinate with Technical Implementation department, Support department and Training department(s), as appropriate, to deliver the right activities at the right time. Ability to occasionally travel (less than 20%) Perform other related duties, as assigned. Required Skills Essential: Minimum of 7 years' experience of successfully managing ‘Tier 1’ multi-million GBP/EUR external customer software projects to time and budget Successful management of multiple, complex, high-impact software projects; optimising resources, and mitigating enterprise-wide risks. Aligns project goals with company objectives to drive growth and efficiency Coaching and guiding project managers, developing best practices, shaping PMO standards, and fostering a culture of excellence Strong technical, project management experience and consultative background within cloud/SaaS/Enterprise software solutions. Delivering projects on time, within scope, and under budget while mitigating risks. Experience leading software delivery teams working in with Agile and SCRUM Solid risk management and conflict resolution skills. Team management experience Excellent understanding and experience of managing project financials (forecasting, budget management, etc) Experience with enterprise SDLC (Software Deployment Lifecycle). Working knowledge of Microsoft Project. Working within a software vendor environment and general software delivery background. Desirable Experience working with Geospatial Information Systems or web mapping software. Telecoms industry knowledge General Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Education and Experience Minimum 7 years project management experience within the software services industry. PMP or Prince 2 Practitioner Certification Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree from an accredited university in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field Minimum 10 years of software technology and industry experience.
