We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic qualified health care assistant ideally to join our team based at Riverside Health Centre for 25.5 hours per week, covering Wednesday to Friday. If not already trained in all required skills we will support the right candidate with the relevant training and supervision to achieve this. The ideal candidate will have the ability to carry out the following: · Phlebotomy Near patient testing - INR Performing ECG’s Taking clinical measurements inc blood pressure Health checks inc NHS health check and annual mental health physical checks Supporting our nursing team with long term conditions by performing diabetic checks and FeNO testing for interpretation by our asthma nurse Administer the influenza, shingles and pneumococcal vaccine Administer B12 injections Wound dressing, suture and clip removals supported as required Sample management Stock management Associated administration including weekly and monthly practice checks The successful applicant will be able to deliver excellent patient care, positively representing the practice and strengthening the relationship between patients and the surgery. Interviews will take place on the 11th and 16th of December. About the Candidate All applicants should have the following skills and qualifications: Care Certificate or equivalent qualification. Good communication skills Excellent clinical skills Ability to work independently, determining own workload priorities, as well as working as part of a multi-disciplinary team About Us Riverside Health Centre is a branch surgery of the COLTE partnership. We care for around 6,500 patients with care provided by three GP partners, one salaried GP, one nurse practitioner, 3 practice nurses and two HCAs. We are a close-knit team who work together and support each other to provide the best possible care to our mixed and varied population of patients. The Colte Partnership itself was formed in 2017 consisting of 8 local practices across Colchester and Tendring joining together to care for approximately 80,000 patients. We also work as a part of a collaborative Primary Care Network (PCN) which spans across Colchester and Tendring.
