Job Description
We're working with a tier 1 strategy consulting firm that has been building a proprietary data business with the major banks/issuers, payment platforms and payment networks for over 20 years.
This team helps these businesses with competitive intelligence, market colour and macro insights across the payments space. They also work on strategy 'case work' across the broader strategy consulting business. The latter is circa 20-25% of this role, which could be an exciting mandate for someone who has not worked in strategy consulting before.
This is an opportunity for someone to work with cutting edge data and help tier 1 clients optimise their business models, improve their products and pricing and stay ahead of their competitors with the latest information. Clients will spent up to £1m for a data service or data model.
We are looking for:
* Knowledge and insight from the payments space; either from an issuer, network, wallet/platform provider or a combination of these from projects you've delivered in this space
* Commercial experience working and delivering for 'clients' whether that be internally or externally
* Experience pitching new ideas or putting together proposals, ideally on data-related topics or more broadly
* Good Excel skills - we are not looking for coders or advanced modellers but a solid foundation of working with data/Excel to produce presentations and insights in different formats
* Client facing skills - here you will work with seniors from across the industry and need to be adaptable to their needs
